「KI-ZU-KU」
We are pleased to announce “CondeHouse Style 2026,” an event where you can experience design and craftsmanship through your senses while connecting with nature and materials unique to Asahikawa, Hokkaido.
This year, themed “KI-ZU-KU,” we offer opportunities to encounter various forms of “KI-ZU-KU”—noticing the value of wood, building human connections, and crafting with wood (woodworking). Centered on initiatives for utilizing local timber, which will become increasingly important, we explore the symbiosis of materials and living that connects the forest to lifestyle.
*Attendance at the event requires advance reservation.

Asahikawa, the holy land of furniture. This year, we will once again host the Asahikawa Furniture Production Area Exhibition, Meet up Furniture Asahikawa, set against the backdrop of this region where materials, design, and manufacturing converge. The event date has shifted from June to May. We open the production area at the start of early summer, when the fresh greenery is dazzling and the air is pleasant.
2026 marks the launch year for IFDA2027 (International Furniture Design Competition Asahikawa). Under a new judging system, we will welcome leading international and domestic judges to Asahikawa for an event envisioning the future of wooden furniture.
Furthermore, embodying our concept of “Meeting at the Production Site,” we will host a communication space at the main venue, Asahikawa Design Center, open all day throughout the event period. Offering coffee, alcoholic beverages, and light snacks at different times of the day, we will create a space for new encounters and exchanges across positions and fields.
Furthermore, through exhibitions unique to the production area, such as company open factories and new product launches, we will welcome you with experiences only available on-site. Let's meet in the pleasant early summer production area of Asahikawa.
